The Cabinet Secretary for Ministry of Lands and Physical Planning, pursuant to regulation 4 (4) of the Land Registration (Registration Units) Order, 2017, Published a Conversion and Migration List vide Gazette Notice No.7146 (Click here).

The Cabinet Secretary is mandated under said regulation, to publish in the Gazette a conversion list upon receipt of the same from the Registrar within 30 days.

The notice indicates that all transactions and dealings relating to parcels within the registration unit shall from the 1st November 2021, be carried out in the new register.

Any parties that are aggrieved by the conversion list may proceed to make a complaint vide form LRA 96 and apply to the Registrar for the registration of a caution vide LRA 67, pending the resolution of the complaint.

The conversion lists and cadastral maps can also be accessed from:

  1. Ministry of Lands and Physical Planning, Ardhi House, 1st Ngong Avenue, Nairobi;
  2. Department of Surveys (Survey of Kenya), Ruaraka;
  3. Ministry of Lands Website: https://lands.go.ke;

The Gazette Notice No. 7146 also revoked Gazette Notices Nos. 11348 of 2020 and 520, 1706 and 1707 of 2021 issued earlier.
