Allen Waiyaki Gichuhi, E.B.S., S.C., C. Arb., LLM (QMUL), is a distinguished legal professional with over 28 years of expertise in Dispute Resolution, Commercial and Civil Litigation, Insolvency, Recoveries, and Data Protection. Recognized for his strategic acumen and unwavering commitment to justice, he has played a pivotal role in shaping Kenya’s legal landscape through landmark rulings and legal reforms. He has been instrumental in drafting amendments to the Advocates Remuneration Order (1997 & 2014), the Court Mandated Mediation Rules(2005), Practice Directions for the Court of Appeal (2014), Commercial and Tax Division (2014) , the Environment and Land Court(2014) and the Chartered Institute of Arbitration Rules (2020).

As a seasoned litigator and Senior Counsel, Allen has successfully handled high-stakes cases that have set key legal precedents. His advocacy in a multibillion-shilling financial dispute safeguarded corporate entities from excessive liability, reinforcing contractual protections. He also secured a precedent-setting ruling that defined the timeframe for judicial determinations in procurement disputes, strengthening due process and constitutional compliance.

In taxation law, his victory in a case concerning agency notices led to a transformative ruling granting affected parties a crucial reprieve period before enforcement actions. Additionally, he played a vital role in constitutional litigation challenging arbitrary government revocation of land titles, reinforcing property rights and due process protections.
